The Client
Founded in 1978 and headquartered at Atlanta, Georgia,
the client is the world’s largest home improvement
chain operating as a home improvement retailer in the
United States, Canada, and Mexico. The company provides
its products and services through specialized stores.
The company stores sell a range of building materials,
home improvement products, and lawn & garden products,
as well as provide various installation services. The
company’s design center stores offer various interior
design products and installation services for kitchens,
baths, appliances, and flooring, as well as products
for lighting, decorating, storage and organization.
The Project
The client operates nearly 2000 stores across North
America. To help manage its business better and generate
growth, the client turned to Quintegra for implementing
SAP 4.7. Quintegra deployed SAP for the client in a
phased rollout that empowers 325,000 associates with
capabilities powered by SAP. Quintegra’s solution
enables the client to enhance customer sales and service,
better manage and utilize information from its 2000
retail stores across North America and integrate and
improve business processes across its retail business.
The modules involved were Financial Accounting (FI),
Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM) and Project
System (PS). Quintegra enriched the client’s customer
experience with capabilities from SAP including interaction
center capabilities for service, sales and customer
chat, and customer-facing tools that support e-commerce
and direct marketing. Quintegra’s SAP implementation
methodology was aimed at enhancing the client’s
functionality in merchandizing, supply chain planning,
supply chain execution, customer relationship management,
store management and enterprise management. With a combination
of rich experience and core SAP capabilities that can
be implemented in a modular approach, Quintegra’s
retail offerings provides the underpinnings to a long-term,
successful IT strategy for the client.
